SKINSTY TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Skinsty.com. By accessing or using the Website or any of its Services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Website or its Services.
SECTION 1. DEFINITIONS AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
1.1. For the purposes of these Terms:
"Skinsty", "Company", "Platform", "Service", "Website Owner", "We", "Us" or "Our" means SNAKE CODE LIMITED, company number 13228490, registered at 26 Downley Road, Havant, PO9 2NP, United Kingdom.
"Website" means Skinsty.com.
"User" or "You" means any individual using the Website or Services, including Buyers and Sellers.
"Seller" means a User who lists and sells an In-Game Item to another User through the Platform.
"Buyer" means a User who purchases an In-Game Item from another User through the Platform.
"In-Game Item" or "Item" means a transferable virtual item from a supported game, currently Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2.
"Listing" means an offer created by a Seller to sell an Item through the Platform.
"Transaction" means a purchase and sale of an Item directly between a Buyer and Seller, facilitated by Skinsty.
"Transaction Amount" means the amount paid by the Buyer for an Item.
"Platform Fee" means the fee charged by Skinsty to the Seller for facilitating a successful Transaction.
"Internal Balance" means the balance displayed in the User’s Skinsty account. The accounting currency of the Internal Balance is USD.
"Trade Protection Period" means the applicable Steam trade-protection period during which a completed Steam trade may still be reversed. The current period is seven (7) calendar days.
"Autobuy" means an automated purchase order created by a Buyer for one or more Items that match specified parameters.
"Bargain" means a price offer made by a Buyer to a Seller for an Item.
1.2. These Terms, together with any policies or rules expressly incorporated by reference, form a legally binding agreement between You and Skinsty.
1.3. Skinsty operates as a peer-to-peer marketplace. Skinsty does not itself act as the Buyer or Seller of Items. The purchase-and-sale relationship for an Item is formed directly between the Buyer and the Seller.
1.4. Skinsty facilitates the Transaction, provides technical infrastructure, records the Transaction status, and holds the Transaction Amount until the Transaction is completed in accordance with these Terms.
1.5. By using the Website, You confirm that You have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
SECTION 2. GENERAL PROVISIONS
2.1. These Terms apply whenever You access or use the Website or any Service.
2.2. Skinsty may amend, supplement or revise these Terms from time to time. The latest revision date will be shown at the top of the Terms. Continued use of the Website after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.
2.3. Skinsty may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or any part of the Website or Services where reasonably necessary, including for technical, security, legal, anti-fraud or operational reasons.
2.4. By using the Website, You represent and warrant that:
You are at least 16 years old and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms, including obtaining consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law;
You understand the nature and risks of virtual in-game items and Steam trading;
You will use the Website only for lawful purposes;
You control the Steam account and payment instruments used through the Service and do not impersonate another person;
information supplied by You to Skinsty or a Payment Processor is accurate and current.
2.5. The Website may include links to, integrations with, or services provided by third parties. Skinsty does not control such third parties and is not responsible for their availability, security, content or separate terms.
2.6. Users are responsible for complying with laws, tax rules, platform rules and other requirements applicable in their country or place of residence.
SECTION 3. ACCOUNT AND STEAM LOGIN
3.1. Access to the trading functionality of Skinsty requires authentication through a Steam account.
3.2. You are solely responsible for the security of Your Steam account and for all actions performed through Your Skinsty session or linked Steam account. You must promptly notify Skinsty if You suspect unauthorised access.
3.3. Skinsty may conduct selective anti-fraud checks where suspicious activity, unusual payment behaviour, suspected abuse or other risk indicators are detected. Skinsty may request additional information reasonably necessary to review the activity.
3.4. If requested information is not provided within a reasonable time, Skinsty may suspend a Transaction, restrict access to trading functions, reject or reverse a payment where technically possible, or terminate access to the Service.
3.5. Skinsty is not affiliated with Valve Corporation, Valve S.a.r.l., Steam or any of their affiliates. Steam rules, Steam Subscriber Agreement terms and Steam trading restrictions continue to apply independently of these Terms.
3.6. Restrictions, bans, trade locks, outages, changes to Steam functionality or other measures imposed by Valve or Steam are outside Skinsty’s control.
SECTION 4. P2P TRANSACTIONS
4.1. A Seller may list an eligible Item for sale and independently determine the sale price, subject to technical limits and marketplace rules displayed on the Website.
4.2. An Item remains in the Seller’s Steam inventory until a Transaction is initiated and the Seller transfers the Item directly to the Buyer through Steam.
4.3. The Buyer purchases Items using funds available on the Buyer’s Internal Balance. Topping up the Internal Balance does not reserve or guarantee the availability of any particular Item.
4.4. The Buyer’s Internal Balance is accounted for in USD. Any amount displayed in another currency is for convenience only and is an indicative conversion unless expressly stated otherwise.
4.5. At applicable stages of a Transaction, a User is generally given up to fifteen (15) minutes to perform the required action, including confirmation, transfer by the Seller and acceptance by the Buyer. The Website interface may display the exact remaining time.
4.6. If the Seller fails to send the Item within the applicable time, the Transaction may be cancelled and the Buyer shall receive the Transaction Amount back to the Internal Balance. The relevant Listing will be removed and will not automatically be relisted. Repeated failures may result in temporary trading restrictions.
4.7. If the Buyer fails to accept a Steam trade within the applicable time, the Transaction may be cancelled and the Buyer shall receive the Transaction Amount back. A single failure to accept does not itself cause forfeiture of the Transaction Amount. Repeated failures may result in temporary trading restrictions in accordance with the marketplace enforcement rules.
4.8. Skinsty may apply progressive temporary restrictions for repeated failures to complete required transaction actions. Skinsty may also disable Autobuy orders, remove Listings or temporarily restrict marketplace access. The applicable enforcement thresholds and durations may be set and updated in the marketplace rules or interface.
4.9. Where an Autobuy order covers multiple Items, Skinsty may reduce the remaining quantity, pause the Autobuy order or cancel it where one or more underlying Transactions fail or remain incomplete.
4.10. A Bargain is not a completed sale. If the Seller does not accept the proposed price or does not proceed with the Bargain, the Bargain may be removed without creating an obligation for the Seller to sell.
4.11. After the Buyer successfully accepts the Steam trade, the Transaction enters the Trade Protection Period. The Seller does not receive the Transaction Amount during this period.
4.12. A Transaction is considered finally completed for settlement purposes only after the seven (7) day Trade Protection Period has expired and Skinsty has confirmed that the relevant Steam trade remains successfully completed.
4.13. For each successfully completed sale, Skinsty charges the Seller a Platform Fee of three percent (3%) of the sale price. For example, if an Item is sold for USD 100, the Buyer pays USD 100 and, subject to successful completion, the Seller receives USD 97 before any applicable Payment Processor withdrawal fee.
4.14. After final completion, the Seller’s net proceeds become available on the Seller’s Internal Balance and may be withdrawn using an available payout method. Skinsty does not charge a separate fixed withdrawal fee unless otherwise displayed; fees charged by Payment Processors may apply.
4.15. If the Seller fails to send the Item, cancels the Transaction before transfer is completed, or reverses/cancels an already accepted Steam trade during the Trade Protection Period, the Seller is not entitled to the Transaction Amount and the Buyer shall receive one hundred percent (100%) of the Transaction Amount back.
4.16. If the Buyer successfully receives the Item and thereafter voluntarily reverses or cancels the protected Steam trade during the Trade Protection Period, the Buyer is not entitled to a refund of the Transaction Amount. Skinsty may apply all or part of the retained amount toward compensation of the Seller and losses connected with the reversal. The amount and method of any such compensation are determined by Skinsty on the basis of the circumstances of the case.
4.17. Cases involving alleged discrepancies in an Item’s description, float value, pattern, stickers, condition or other characteristics may be reviewed individually by Skinsty. The Buyer is responsible for reviewing the Item and the information available on the Website before purchasing.
4.18. Skinsty may suspend, cancel or review a Transaction where there are reasonable indications of fraud, stolen or unlawfully obtained Items, technical error, abnormal activity, manipulation, abuse, or a material discrepancy affecting the Transaction.
4.19. Where a Transaction is cancelled through no fault of the Buyer and the Buyer did not receive the Item, the Transaction Amount shall be returned to the Buyer’s Internal Balance, subject to technical and Payment Processor limitations.
4.20. Steam restrictions, account bans or other limitations affecting a Seller after the Buyer has already received the Item do not, by themselves, invalidate the completed transfer to the Buyer. Skinsty is not responsible for restrictions imposed independently by Steam.
4.21. Skinsty may make a final determination in disputes concerning the status of a Transaction on the basis of Steam trade history, Website logs, payment records, screenshots, technical data and other reasonably available evidence.
4.22. Users must not knowingly list, transfer or attempt to sell Items obtained through fraud, theft, unauthorised access or other unlawful means.
4.23. Skinsty may refuse to facilitate or settle a Transaction where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, technical integrity or protection of Users.
SECTION 5. BALANCE, PAYMENTS, WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
5.1. Users may top up their Internal Balance through third-party payment providers made available on the Website.
5.2. A balance top-up may be made only by the User and using the User’s own payment instrument. Use of payment credentials belonging to another person is prohibited.
5.3. Topping up the Internal Balance is a separate action and does not create an obligation for Skinsty or any Seller to provide a particular Item.
5.4. If a User tops up the Internal Balance but does not use all or part of the funds, the User may request a return of eligible unused funds after four (4) days from the relevant top-up, subject to Payment Processor rules and technical availability.
5.5. External refunds are generally made only to the same payment method or account from which the relevant funds were deposited, where supported by the applicable Payment Processor.
5.6. Payment processing fees, banking fees and other charges incurred in connection with a top-up, refund or withdrawal are not reimbursed by Skinsty. A refund of unused funds may therefore be lower than the original top-up by the amount of such fees.
5.7. Seller withdrawals are made to payout methods available on the Website and, where required, to payment details belonging to the Seller. Payment Processor fees may be deducted from the withdrawal.
5.8. Payment availability, processing times, limits, supported countries, currencies and payment methods may differ depending on the relevant Payment Processor.
5.9. Skinsty may use third-party Payment Processors to process deposits, withdrawals and refunds. The applicable Payment Processor is responsible for its own payment infrastructure and may apply separate terms, privacy policies, verification requirements and fees.
5.10. Skinsty may carry out selective anti-fraud review of deposits, withdrawals or Transactions and may temporarily hold, reject or reverse a payment where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, unauthorised payment activity or abuse.
5.11. Any chargeback, card dispute or payment dispute is also subject to the rules and procedures of the relevant Payment Processor. Skinsty may provide transaction records and other evidence to the Payment Processor and may restrict the User’s account while a disputed payment is under review.
5.12. Skinsty does not provide currency exchange, crypto-fiat exchange, fiat-crypto exchange, banking or investment services.
5.13. Each User is solely responsible for any taxes, duties or reporting obligations arising from purchases, sales or other activity conducted through the Website.
5.14. If a payment or payout fails due to a third-party provider, bank, network or technical issue, processing may be delayed until the relevant issue is resolved.
5.15. Users must provide accurate information required for payment processing. Skinsty is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect payment details supplied by the User.
SECTION 6. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE REVIEW
6.1. Questions, complaints and transaction disputes may be submitted to [email protected].
6.2. A User must contact Skinsty regarding a failed, incorrect or disputed Transaction within fourteen (14) calendar days after the relevant event. Claims submitted after that period may be refused where the delay prevents reasonable verification.
6.3. Skinsty will normally review a properly submitted refund or transaction complaint within fourteen (14) business days, although complex cases or cases requiring third-party information may take longer.
6.4. Skinsty may request Steam trade history, screenshots, payment receipts, transaction identifiers, Steam account information or other evidence reasonably required to investigate a complaint.
6.5. Where a technical malfunction, duplicate charge, material item-description discrepancy or another issue not caused by the User is confirmed, Skinsty may issue an appropriate refund, balance adjustment, Transaction cancellation or other remedy.
6.6. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
SECTION 7. ANTI-FRAUD, RESTRICTIONS AND USER CONDUCT
7.1. Users must not use Skinsty to commit or facilitate fraud, money laundering, theft, unauthorised account access, payment abuse, market manipulation, technical circumvention or other unlawful activity.
7.2. Users must not intentionally exploit errors, vulnerabilities, race conditions, pricing faults, duplicate credits, payment errors or other technical defects for personal gain.
7.3. Skinsty may temporarily or permanently restrict trading functions, disable Autobuy, remove Listings, freeze pending settlements or suspend access where Skinsty reasonably suspects fraud, abuse, repeated failure to complete Transactions, technical manipulation, stolen Items or a material breach of these Terms.
7.4. Where fraud, abuse or unjustified reversal causes financial loss to Skinsty or another User, Skinsty may retain or offset funds lawfully available on the User’s account to the extent permitted by applicable law and may seek recovery of demonstrable losses.
7.5. The existence of an account restriction does not automatically cancel rights or obligations arising from Transactions already completed or from pending Transactions that Skinsty determines should be settled or unwound.
SECTION 8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1. Virtual item trading depends on Steam and other third-party systems that Skinsty does not control. Skinsty does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of Steam, any Item, any payment method or the Website.
8.2. Skinsty is not responsible for losses caused solely by Steam trade locks, Steam bans, Steam outages, Valve policy changes, Payment Processor failures, banking delays, internet outages or other third-party systems outside Skinsty’s reasonable control.
8.3. You are responsible for protecting Your Steam account, devices and credentials. Skinsty is not responsible for loss resulting from unauthorised access caused by Your failure to secure them.
8.4. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skinsty shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity or loss of data arising from use of or inability to use the Website.
8.5. Skinsty does not warrant that the Website will always be error-free, uninterrupted or free from malicious components, although reasonable security and operational measures may be used.
8.6. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
SECTION 9. INDEMNIFICATION AND FORCE MAJEURE
9.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, You agree to indemnify Skinsty and its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising directly from Your unlawful use of the Service, fraud, infringement of third-party rights or material breach of these Terms.
9.2. Skinsty is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil disorder, governmental action, widespread network or power failure, cyberattack, failure of critical third-party infrastructure or other force majeure events.
SECTION 10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
10.1. All trademarks, logos, skins, artwork and other intellectual property displayed through the Service remain the property of their respective owners.
10.2. The Skinsty name, Skinsty logo, Website design, custom graphics, interface elements, text created by Skinsty and other proprietary materials belonging to Skinsty or SNAKE CODE LIMITED may not be copied, imitated or used without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
10.3. References to Valve, Steam, CS2, Dota 2 or third-party products do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.
SECTION 11. TERMINATION, CHANGES AND COMMUNICATIONS
11.1. Skinsty may suspend or terminate a User’s access to the Website where reasonably necessary due to a material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risk, repeated transaction failures, legal requirements or protection of other Users.
11.2. A User may stop using Skinsty at any time, subject to completion, cancellation or settlement of pending Transactions and any unresolved payment obligations.
11.3. Skinsty may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a restructuring, sale, transfer of business or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
11.4. Notices and operational communications may be delivered through the Website, account interface or available electronic contact channels.
11.5. Questions concerning these Terms may be sent to [email protected].
